Larger Internet Pipe Installed

E-mail Print PDF
Installation was finally completed today of a larger pipe to the internet effectively doubling the traffic capacity to Sandy Valley. This should help the service speeds and reliability as well as end performance for the users. We hope to grow enough to be able to perform another increase in the future.

Mesh Network now 100% Complete and operational

E-mail Print PDF

Well we are finally complete with the build out of the mesh network! We had to wait until most of the trees in the valley bloomed before we could determine where to place our remaining nodes so as to work around most of the obstacles. We were greatly surprised to see some of the most excellent througput on our mesh that we have seen in along time.

Now for the second phase which is to increase our backbone bandwidth into Sandy Valley. As you know it's very difficult and expensive to bring bandwidth into this valley and dealing with one provider/telco doesn't help. However, we are negotiating to bring more bandwidth into the valley at reasonable costs. As the network grows and we gain customers, we will continue to increase the speeds into Sandy Valley so that they may be realized by everyone.

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

Network Buildout 90% Complete

E-mail Print PDF

Eureka! We have completed 90% of the new mesh network buildout. The speed and stability of the network is testing very well. Customers should see a vast improvement already. Cool

We would also like to announce that customers that currently are using the old fashioned cisco 350 card inserted into their computer that looks like this:

We can now upgrade you to a client adaptor that would take the workload off your computer and make everything work faster, especially those that are sharing multiple computers through a single computer with the 350 card! Also, those that have been wanting to upgrade to Windows Vista can now do so since the new client adaptor is a stand alone piece of equipment that hooks directly to the antenna and ties multiple computers together through an ethernet network. The only requirement is that all your computers must have an ethernet jack built in, or you can purchase an ethernet card for your computer.

If your interested in upgrading or want further info, call our office at 723-3427, extension 3.

First phase of new network completed and operational!

E-mail Print PDF

On Wed, Jan 7th, 2009 we completed the first phase build out of our newer mesh network. The installation went extremely well and we are very pleased with the signal strengths and speeds we have achieved with this new equipment. Those customers located in or around the airport (OMNI 5), should see a vast improvement in reliability and speeds. In the coming weeks, we will begin to upgrade the remaining towers and will announce here what towers have been upgraded as we progress. All customers may notice an improvement because of this upgrade since OMNI-5 is no longer having to utilize the other towers as relay points, dramatically lowering the workload on the other towers. As we progress each tower will become it's own independent omni servicing only those customers pointed to it which ill dramatically increase speed and performance for all.

New Network Status Update

E-mail Print PDF

As of December 1st the network has been operating off a new circuit we installed to the AT&T backbone. All of the new SkyPilot equipment has been configured and tested and is ready for deployment. We planned on having our first node operational sooner, but due to the bad weather and snow that has been delayed. We are currently planning on installing the first set of nodes shortly after the holidays. We can't wait to see this through as our plan is to bring superior performance to Sandy Valley in 2009!

We would like to take this time to thank everyone for their patience and understanding and would like to wish everyone a Joyous Christmas and a Happy New Year.
